Terms of service

Version 3 · published August 15, 2026

These terms apply to all participation at The Art Practice Studio and The Treehouse Collective. Questions? Email theartpracticestudio@gmail.com.

Registration and payment

Registering for a class means you agree to these terms. Payment is due at registration, and a spot is only held once payment is complete. Recurring options bill on the schedule shown at checkout until you cancel; you can cancel or update your card any time from Manage your payments.

Class sizes are limited. You must register for class in order to participate. Walk-ins are allowed if there is space but will be asked to register prior to participation.

Respecting the space

The studio is a shared, working space. Treat the room, the furniture, the tools, and other people's work with care, clean up your area before you leave, and follow the guidance of your host at all times.

Arrive on time and ready to work, keep noise and phone use low during sessions, and leave the space as good as or better than you found it. You are responsible for damage you cause to the space or its equipment.

Respecting the models

In figure sessions, models are working professionals and deserve complete respect. No photography, video, or audio recording of any kind is permitted in a session with a model.

Do not touch, direct, approach, or make comments about a model, and do not ask for personal contact information. Drawings made in session are for your own study; do not publish or sell work that identifies a model without their written permission. Anyone who breaks these rules will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Conduct and refusal of service

Harassment, discrimination, intoxication, unsafe behavior, or any conduct that makes the space unwelcoming is not tolerated.

The Art Practice Studio and The Treehouse Collective reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, and to remove any participant from a class or the premises, for any reason and at their sole discretion.

Changes to classes and services

The Art Practice Studio and The Treehouse Collective may change, reschedule, or discontinue any class, workshop, session, price, or service at any time without obligation or prior notice.

If we cancel a session outright, we will offer a comparable session or a refund for that session. Missed sessions, late arrivals, and no-shows are not refundable.

Minors, safety, and liability

Participants must fall within the age range listed for a class. A parent or guardian registering a minor agrees to these terms on the minor's behalf.

Art making involves tools and materials that carry some risk. You participate at your own risk and are responsible for disclosing relevant allergies or medical needs. To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Art Practice Studio and The Treehouse Collective are not liable for injury, illness, or lost or damaged personal property.

Photos of classes

We occasionally photograph the studio and finished work for our own promotion. Tell your host if you prefer not to appear, and we will keep you out of frame.
